1. Edina Coffee Roasters
The husband and wife team behind Edina Coffee Roasters, Zach and Sara Zschernitz, have been brewing beans for over 15 years. Hospitality is at the forefront of all they do at Edina Coffee Roasters, ensuring your visit is amazing from start to finish. All of their flavored coffee syrups are made in-house and include delicious selections like lavender honey and brown sugar. Their seasonal menu never disappoints, and I highly recommend pairing one of their spring or summer lattes with a gluten-free/dairy-free bakery items for maximum tastiness.

Parks in Edina MN
Staying up to date and in the know about the best parks in Edina MN is part of my job. Actually, I have a list here of my favorite outdoor photo locations in Minneapolis. But, you might be looking for things to do in Edina that allow the kids to expend some of their boundless, playful energy. Whether it’s a wide open space to run around, an inclusive playground, or Parks in Edina MN that offer summer concerts, you’ll find them all on the list below.

1. Arden Park
At Arden Park in Edina, you’ll find fun nature trails to explore with the kids, a winding creek, a playground, and the perfect place to host a picnic. Whether you want to bring along those coffee shop treats or set up a picnic basket packed from home, Arden Park offers plenty of spaces by the water where you can slow down and enjoy the afternoon. The kids run around or simply spend the afternoon blowing bubbles that float up to the sky. Either way, I highly recommend checking out Arden Park.
2. Centennial Lakes Park
This park in Edina has a little something for kids of every age. During the summer, Centennial Lakes Park has paddle boats you can steer across the water. Or you can enjoy their outdoor summer concert series while the air is still warm and the sun gently sets in the backdrop. For a weekday visit, Centennial Lakes has paved paths. Here, you can go for a walk with stroller-aged children, or even bring along a balance bike. If your kids are a little bit older, this particular park also has mini golf on its grounds.
3. Augsburg Adventure Park
In partnership with the Richfield Disability Advocacy (RDAP), Augsburg Adventure Park is a sensory-certified playground. It’s one of the Twin Cities’ only fully inclusive playgrounds, and it’s perfect for children and families of all ages. Features at this playground include ground-level independent play, a 10-person whirl, a RailRider long swing, rubber surfacing throughout, and so much more. You can find a complete list of Augsburg Adventure Park features at this link. The playground is open daily from 8 am to 9 pm. Service pets are more than welcome to join in on the fun.

4. Lake Harriet Park
I don’t know about you, but Lake Harriet Park is a big hit in our family. The park features a fun playground for the little ones, a lakeside walking path, and a bandshell to host their summer music series. If you have older children, Lake Harriet Park also offers rentals for canoes, kayaks, bikes, boats, and paddle boards. This will allow the whole family to enjoy the beautiful views from inside the park together. Next time you are looking for things to do in Edina, I highly recommend checking out Lake Harriet Park, weather permitting, of course!
5. Rosland Park
Located near the Edina Aquatic Center, Rosland Park is another one of those parks in Edina MN that offers a day of fun for everyone in the family! The park has a fun inclusive playground, picnic areas, fishing, and disc golf. It’s also close to the Edina pool in case you want to check out the facilities after a day of splashing around in the nearby Olympic-sized pool.

Located within Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Richardson Nature Center is a fun, explorative play area. If you need activities that will keep the kids busy and engaged, you will definitely find them here. Richard Nature Center allows imaginative play to soar with the ability to make a fort out of logs, access an outdoor kitchen, enjoy watching local species of birds take to the skies, or simply go for a hike and take in the fresh air.
