Are you thinking about the tender feeling of experiencing in home photography in Minneapolis? Something I’ve been working on with families more and more is hosting their photoshoot in their homes. A quiet photoshoot that allows them to enjoy their space in a way that is organic and meaningful.
As a Minneapolis family photographer, I have a philosophy behind in-home photography. Your home is a place in your life where so many memories are made. It’s where you’ll spend sleepless nights when you first welcome your baby home. It’s also a place where your little one will, more than likely, take their first steps and say their first word. Your backyard becomes your own little hideaway. One where cookouts, playdates, and good old-fashioned games of ‘tag’ take place.
All of these moments, the memories you create together every day, are hosted in a location worthy of in home photography in Minneapolis. You don’t have to take your family to a local park or photo studio in order to memorialize this precious time in your lives together. You can embrace the gentle side of life and relax on your porch. Or, play with your children in their own backyard.

In Home Photography Minneapolis
The photoshoot featured below encompasses all of these elements. This loving family wanted portraits together that depicted what they and their sweet baby are currently experiencing at this stage of life. Running around the yard barefoot, playfully ‘peaking’ through the fence, and enjoying her tree swing in the front yard. We carefully bottled up each of these moments during the photoshoot. Openly embracing the ability to be curious, playful, and loving from the comfort of their own home.
By far, the biggest concern I hear from families who are open to exploring in-home photography in Minneapolis surrounds their home. A valid concern that I can assure you is easily remedied. Something I always tell the families I work with is that their home doesn’t have to be ‘magazine worthy’. All we need is a quiet corner. This can be indoors during the colder months or outdoors when the sweet air of spring or summer finally arrives.

The space you decide upon doesn’t have to be fully outfitted in decor, or even perfectly manicured. It just has to be a space that your family loves. One where you spent countless hours together, being in each other’s presence through the seemingly routine aspects of life.
