I have had the privilege of photographing my dear friend and her family in so many different seasons of their lives. A maternity session, the birth of their little boy, motherhood, newborn, family, and an in-home session. Each and every single one of these sessions have been so special, but this last session in their home was even more special.

In the late Fall, of 2018, we did a mini family session shortly after Krista, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has fought so hard for the past year and a half for herself, her family and others going through the same diagnosis. Even with countless doctor appointments, treatment, surgery, and medications she has remained positive, joyful and happy even when it is hard or a struggle.

This in-home session with her family was so special as they just did a big remodel and we were able to celebrate her on the other side of her breast cancer diagnoses. Even though she is still receiving some treatments for a few years she has overcome a big surgery and is cancer free!
