I first had the honor of meeting the Theisen family last fall for a mini session. The girls were dressed in the cutest fall clothing and had the sweetest smiles and personalities. I was excited to get a email from them this winter asking if I could have a session for Elin’s one year photos.

In Minnesota, we never know what spring will be like, so we opted for a early May session. We were hoping for green grass and some leaves on the trees. We would have never guessed it would be in the mid 90’s!!! It was a perfect evening with a cool breeze on our backs for Elin’s one year session.

Now sweet little Elin wasn’t quite ready to be in the spotlight solo. She was quite happy in her mom’s arms and that is just where she wanted to stay. Luckily, everyone was ready to roll for a family session to celebrate Elin’s first year. I was able to get a few shots to highlight this little girl and her delightful personality. Having an impromptu family session was a silver lining and I’m so happy that everyone was flexible and willing to make it work.
