Morning sessions with family of five.

Morning sessions are a wonderful time for family photos. While I could think of so many, I’ve whittled it down to my top 5 reasons morning sessions are a great time for photos.

Soft and flattering light

The beautiful morning light, which is usually soft and diffused, makes it ideal for photos. Harsh sunlight in the middle of the day can cast unflattering shadows on faces, but the soft morning light creates a more even and flattering light on your subjects.

Comfortable temperature

Mornings tend to be cooler and more comfortable than the heat of the midday sun or even the early evening when the humidity can still be uncomfortable. The more comfortable temps can make it easier to get everyone to cooperate and be in a good mood for the photo session.

Fewer crowds

Early mornings are often quieter and less crowded than later in the day, making it easier to find a good location for your family photos without other people in the background.

Unique

The morning is a hidden gem when it comes to photos as not many people take advantage of it. So break the mold and try something new for your next family photo session.

Fresh and energized

In the morning, people tend to be more fresh and energized after a good night’s sleep, which can make for better photos and more cooperative subjects.

Overall, the combination of my top 5 reasons are what makes morning sessions a special time for family photos. Have you been meaning to schedule your family photos and interested in trying one of my morning sessions?
