I’m beyond excited to share these Family Pictures that were taken at Lake Harriet Rose Gardens!

When the Rood family reached out about photos, I couldn’t wait to work with them again. This was my third session with them. It’s always so special when I get to see a family year after year and capture so many big milestones. 

We had planned for a Spring session but due to weather we had to reschedule to a morning Summer session. With all the wildfires I was unsure what kinda morning we were going to get. However, I feel like we hit the jackpot with the slight hazy wildfire weather. Paired with the blue tones in their outfits, it made the session look extra dreamy – which photographing this family is always a dream.

The family of three have the best personalities. They are always so down to earth and love to catch up, plus are so photogenic. 🙂

I love how playful and intentional they are with their girl. They know exactly when they need to be extra silly around her and when she needs some more snuggles and love.

I have so many favorite photos from this session at Lake Harriet Rose Gardens. To be honest, it was hard enough narrowing down a few to share in this blog post. Scroll down to see one of my favorites when they were taking a walk in the gardens as a family. It made it feel like we were in a totally different part of the world with the hazy air and florals surrounding them.

I am completely in love with all the black and white images, too. The connection, laughter and love in all of them comes through so strongly.
