Getting to capture this outdoor family picture session was such a treat.

This sweet little session is part of my First Year Collection Collective with this family of three.

This was my second session with his family which took place at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen. His first session was during the cold winter months which smartly took place in a natural light studio. 🙂 It has been a perfect combo of different locations for our first two sessions. 

The weather was absolutely perfect for this outdoor family picture session. Everything was in bloom and we had a little summer breeze to keep us cool enough. We had fun exploring the front gardens to capture some classic photos of the three of them and also some portraits of just him at six months.

Two of my favorite pictures from this session are when his mom was holding him and he wrapped his chubby little hands around his mom’s. It’s the little details that often can be overlooked or forgotten about that I want to be sure to capture. My other favorite from this outdoor family picture session is when he was laying in his mom’s lap playing with his toes. I love his big gummy smile looking up at me.
