Lucy and I, first met a few years ago when I took my first Barre3 class and she and her good friend began the process of opening the Barre3 studio in Edina, MN. I have had the opportunity to photograph for the studio since they opened the doors and it has been so wonderful meeting so many new people and create friendships in and outside the studio walls.

I remember shortly after they offically opened the doors to the studio I had to ask Lucy for modifications because I was expecting and that is when I found out Lucy was expecting her first as well! It was fun hearing about each other pregnancies, sharing stories and learning how to move differently in this season of life.

Fast forward, a little over a year and a half, as Lucy and her husband welcomed their daughter Greta! She is the sweetest little newborn who is content as can be. While most of my newborn sessions take place in the home we opted for most of this session to be outdoors due to COVID. I loved how relaxed and playful this summer newborn session outside their home in Linden Hills was.
