I have a list of places that I dream of photographing at and last week I was able to cross one of them off while meeting Laura and Jake in Joshua Tree, California. We decided on a sunrise session so it was a 4:00 a.m. wake-up call to make the trek from Palm Springs. It was totally worth the early morning since the sun was just starting to peak before entering the park and the sky was glowing with a pink and orange hue. It was gorgeous with all the cactuses in view.
Laura and Jake, coincidentally are from Minneapolis as well and had been traveling the whole day before. The two of them stayed in Palm Springs the night before our session to celebrate their friends getting married that upcoming weekend. Despite the early morning wake up call and drive these two were full of so much joy and excitement. They were incredibly kind and patient as walked around the Hidden Valley area trying not disturb the campers and get that beautiful morning light. It was an unforgettable morning, with Laura and Jake and I am so happy that our paths crossed many miles away from home.
