I met Ashley when we attended the same college, and I was a TA in one of her classes. A few years later she introduced me to my now husband Ryan! Last year, we met for tea just a few days before her due date. She mentioned how she really wanted me to photograph the birth of their first child. At the time I had a wedding so I knew I couldn’t commit to being to the birth- and I have never even photographed a birth before. I felt completely honored that she asked me so as soon as the wedding was over I sent her a message saying if she didn’t have the baby yet I would I love to be able to be there and witness the birth. Letty Louise made a quick arrival late one night in the middle of a snow storm and I was so glad I was able to be there just a little before she made her debut.

When Ashley reached out to inquire about Letty’s one-year session, I was absolutely thrilled. It is always an honor to be asked to photograph another photographer’s family. I loved their in-home session of just the three of them doing what they love most. Being a family and giving their Letty  all the love.
