I just couldn’t wait to take these family pictures in Chaska! The last time I saw this family of three, it was for their daughter’s in-home newborn session in Minnetonka.
This second session was so special as the baby was now six months old and was full of big smiles. This stage is so fun to photograph as often babies think when we say ‘hi’ it is the best thing ever and in return we get the best smiles.
We met in the early Fall for their family pictures in Chaska at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. I loved the spot we chose for their pictures as the sun was giving off a beautiful glow behind the pergola. Which just so happened to complement the clothing Allie picked out for their photos! The little romper from Rylee + Cru that she picked out for her daughter was adorable.
One of my favorite photos during these family pictures in Chaska is the portrait of their daughter sitting serenely on the ground. She wasn’t sitting on her own yet, so her mom held her back for support. I love the baby’s captivated face as she looked at her dad. With her giant eyes, her little hands resting on the blanket and her feet tucked under her, I can’t get enough of how sweet she looks.
I’m looking forward to seeing this family again in just a few short months as their daughter turns one! Scroll down to enjoy this little peek into this sweet family of three session.
