I’m so excited to share these Excelsior Beach family pictures with you!

When the Nemode family reached out about a family photos at the beach, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! I haven’t had the opportunity to photograph a ton of sessions at the beach, so I was super excited for their family session. 

We met on a quiet and warm Fall morning for their Excelsior Beach family pictures. While I knew many people wouldn’t be at the beach during this time of day in the Fall, I still wanted to be sure we got there early in the morning to ensure we had soft lighting and to beat the morning walkers. 

We started up on a walking path to grab some classic family portraits before the kids got into the sand. I am so glad we started up on the path early because as soon as we got the the water little brother was so excited to explore the water and sand. He crawled right for the water and was so happy being wet and trying out the sand with his fingers and toes.

What I loved about these Excelsior Beach family pictures was that we got some beautiful classic family portraits and also some fun interacting photos – a perfect combination. I especially liked how their neutral, beachy color palette made the focus on the family connection instead of the clothes.
