Last Saturday, I met up with Erin and Bill at the James J. Hill Center in St.Paul for an anniversary/birthday session. This month the two of them celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary! I love that Erin chose to celebrate this year with a session and not just wait till the next big milestone year.

I asked Erin why she decided on an anniversary session and this is what she shared with me.  ‘I had recently decided to do an anniversary photo shoot with my husband to 14 years.  The last couple years of our lives have been some of the craziest, wonderful, intense, hard, and healing years together. I surprised him with the shoot on his birthday to make the event even that much more memorable (Anniversary and Bday are in the same month).  I’ve had some people ask, is this with your husband really wants for his birthday and anniversary?  I can’t answer for all husbands but I do know mine, and he values quality time together making memories and I know this memory will stay with him forever.  The pictures are proof that we are stronger than we have ever been. They are proof of the lasting legacy of love that we carry forward, for us and for our four beautiful children.  Plus, you should’ve heard the way we giggled and acted like newlyweds the whole time it was amazing!’
