Choosing what to wear for your Minnesota summer family pictures can be a challenge. Looking for some tips? Read on for my top 5 tips for what to wear for your Minnesota summer family pictures.

  1. Choose light and breathable fabrics
It’s likely going to be hot and humid outside. So choose clothing made from lightweight and breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, or rayon.
  2. Stay away from neon colors
Summertime is already bright and colorful with the bold blue sky and blooming flowers! Neon and too bright clothing is hard on the visual eye. Sticking to lighter tones and neutrals will actually make you stand out more!
  3. Coordinate but don’t match
Choose outfits that complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. For example, you could all wear different shades of the same color or choose complementary colors. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out my Pinterest.
  4. Dress for the location
Consider the location where the photos will be taken and choose outfits that will look appropriate in that setting. For example, if you’re taking photos on the beach, you might want to wear sandals or flip-flops instead of dress shoes.
  5. Accessorize
Add some fun accessories like hats, sunglasses, or jewelry to complete your look and add some visual interest to the photos.

Overall, the goal is to choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident, while also looking coordinated and stylish as a family.

Are you ready thinking about scheduling your Minnesota summer family pictures? I’d love to connect with you and see how I can best serve you and your family.
