The winter here in Minnesota sure has been interesting this year. We have had everything from negative degree temps, high winds taking out power, ice, rain and sixty degrees in February! I was really unsure if we were going to get any more snow this year. Teri and Ryan were really hoping for a snowy winter engagement session and it was looking less likely that was going to happen.
We initially planned for their engagement session back in February, but with the low temps and high winds, we decided to reschedule their session to this past Sunday. It truly was perfect, since it was the day we got a snow storm!!! Teri sent me a message saying “Can you believe it’s snowing?”. I was so excited that they got the snowy winter engagement session that they were hoping for.
We met up along the Minnehaha River Parkway and I knew instantly when they got out of the car that we were going to have a great time. They both were smiling with the fresh snow falling on their faces. Together, they laughed, smiled and caught snowflakes just like little kids in a snowstorm. Teri and Ryan both were taking the time to brush a few extra piles of snow from each other’s coats, shoes or hair. I could tell immediately how caring and loving they are for one another and everyone around them. It really was a special day to spend with the two of them!
In September, Teri and Ryan will be tying the knot at the Historic Streetcar Station in St.Paul! Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!
