I couldn’t wait to see this family of four again for their annual outdoor family pictures. I’ve had the joy of photographing them from all the way back from when their little boy was an infant. What a pleasure and honor to see the kids’ personalities grow and change over the years.
We met up in Chaska for their outdoor family pictures last summer. We found a quiet spot within the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for their session. It was a perfect, as the kids got to explore the area and also not be distracted by visitors walking where we were photographing.
Mom did an amazing job having everyone coordinate and tying it all together with a little design in sister’s dress to incorporate the color palette. I loved how the blues in the clothing really popped with the whites and greens in the background.

As I’ve looked through this session, one of my favorite photos is when mom was sitting on the rock and her daughter came up behind her to love & hug her. It felt so natural as it was something they often do when they are playing down on the ground together.
