It only seems fitting to be working on Ashley & Nick’s wedding mid-flight to Europe because they are sitting about five rows behind me on the exact same flight! What are the chances that I would be photographing their wedding on Saturday and then be on the same flight as them just a few days later?! I loved being able to chat before and after our flight about the wedding and what their plans are for their honeymoon in Greece!
Ashley and Nick planned a perfect wedding day with so many thought out details at the Minikahda Club in Minneapolis. Ashley and her dad are very close and she wanted to share a first look with him before she headed off to see Nick. I loved this moment because they were both already tearing up before they saw one another. It was a sweet time that they got to share with one another before the big day started.
The weather predicted to be 100% chance of rain for the day. We however got so lucky and the rain stopped just before we started portraits and continued to stay dry so they were able to have their cocktail hour on the patio overlooking Minneapolis. It really was a perfect day with a small intimate wedding party and a big reception to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to close out my 2017 Fall wedding season.
